Belarus
Pray that the new Bible in contemporary Belarusian meets the needs of churches, cultural organisations and Christians. Ask God to help us work in children’s homes, homes for the disabled and elderly and among drug addicts and people with HIV and AIDS. Please pray that people open their hearts and allow themselves to be regenerated by God’s Word. Pray also for the effective use of the Scriptures that we have placed in libraries and museums.
Lithuania
Give thanks that we have received financial support allowing us to continue to supply Scriptures to schools, orphans, hospital patients and the elderly. Pray for God’s wisdom and courage as we adapt biblical publications for our markets and ask that individual Christians and churches will continue to receive and know the blessings of ministering to each other.
Latvia
Thank God for his help in sustaining the good image of the Bible Society. Over the years of our ministry, the confidence of our supporters has been growing. Give thanks, too, for progress towards completing the new Bible translation. Pray for the final steps still to be taken to finish this project. Remember the many people in Latvia who are going through difficulties caused by the economic crisis.
Estonia
Praise God for his many blessings. Give thanks for progress in Bible work over the last 20 years and for generous donors who help us to continue our mission. Pray for funding to continue translating the Old Testament into modern Estonian and for our efforts to encourage people to read the Bible and make it relevant to daily life.
