Chad
Praise God for good progress with Bible work despite difficult circumstances. Thank him for the success of our programmes, especially our translation work. Pray for good team work among our staff, for our efforts to obtain a distribution vehicle and for the presidential elections due to take place this year.
Sudan
Praise God for the peaceful elections. Give thanks, too, for the completion of the Dinka Padang and Shiluk translation projects and for progress with the Maban project. Pray for Scripture distribution to the armed forces and for the new Uduk translation project. Continue to ask that God will bless our country with political stability.
Eritrea
Please pray for Bible work in this country. Pray for the successful completion of the Kunama Bible project and for the necessary funds for the production and distribution. Pray, too, that the leadership of the Bible Society may be strengthened.
Ethiopia
Praise God for the support we receive from all denominations, for opportunities to distribute God’s Word and for good progress with our HIV and AIDS outreach work. Thank him, too, for the success of our translation projects, including the completion of the Koorete and Borana New Testaments. Pray for our ongoing projects and for the projects that we hope to begin, including the East Oromo Old Testament and the Ale New Testament translations. Remember, too, Bible work in Djibouti.
