Europe-Middle East Area Service Center
Please pray for all staff serving and supporting Bible work in nearly 60 countries. Pray for those meetings which provide opportunities to share resources, good practice, challenges and encouragement. Remember, too, General Secretaries and their staff as they seek to respond with godly wisdom both to great opportunities and to financial and political constraints. Pray for the success of fundraising initiatives, and for good relations with all churches and the many organisations with which we work.
Africa Area Service Center
Thank God for his guidance and protection, especially during our travels. Thank him, too, for uniting us in prayer and answering our prayers. Ask God to raise awareness of the mission of the United Bible Societies, thus increasing funding for our projects. Ask him to give us wisdom as we serve the national Bible Societies and ask for peace to prevail in countries where there is conflict. Pray that we will know the Lord’s peace during times of change and that the doors of opportunity for Bible mission in Africa will be opened. Pray also for wisdom for the leadership of the United Bible Societies.
Americas Area Service Center
Thank God for his care and concern for our staff and their work across the Americas. With changes in prospect, may we continue to depend on him as we serve Bible Society staff – and God’s ultimate purposes – throughout this region.
Asia-Pacific Area Service Center
Thank God for the opportunities that we have in serving the Bible Societies in the Asia-Pacific Area. We are thankful that he continues to equip us for service in numerous areas, such as Bible translation, finance and programme. We ask for protection over our staff, especially those who are travelling throughout the year.
World Service Center
Please pray for our General Secretary, Michael Perreau, and for God’s wisdom and guidance as he leads the United Bible Societies fellowship. Thank God for staff working throughout the world to support the mission of the Bible Societies, whether it is in Translation Services, Communications, Grant Management, Fundraising Development, Governance, Programme or Finance and Business Development. Please pray that God’s encouragement and sustaining love continue to guide them in enabling the Fellowship to work successfully together.
