Cambodia
Pray for our projects this year, that they will run smoothly and to schedule. Please ask God to help us as we seek to find more partners – local Christian NGOs and churches – with whom we can work to distribute Scriptures all over the country. Pray as we search for a General Secretary to lead our Bible Society and ask God to bring forward the right person for this position.
Laos
Praise God that the revision of the Lao Bible was completed last year after eight years of work. Due to government restrictions Scripture distribution remains a challenge, particularly outside the capital city. Please pray for Laos Partnership as we help the Laos Evangelical Church establish a distribution centre in Vientiane and as we seek opportunities to set up a mobile distribution unit.
Vietnam
Work here has been very exciting! Our partnerships with the official Church and house churches continue to expand and our newly published Revised Vietnamese Bible is an important resource this year as the Church celebrates 100 years of Protestantism. Pray that this new Bible brings a new dynamism to the Church. Give thanks for the publication of the Vietnamese-Chinese New Testament and please pray for our four minority-language translation projects.
