Namibia
Praise God for the opportunity to host the United Bible Societies Africa Area Board, for our Church relations, for Scripture translations and revisions and for the delivery of 70 000 Bibles. Give thanks, too, for fundraising efforts and for the start of renovations to Bible House. Pray for translation work, for youth Bible formats, for Bible advocacy, for our Bible-A-Month Club and for our planned prayer breakfast for politicians. Ask for guidance in appointing a Business Manager and renovating Bible House.
Botswana
Thank God for the opportunity to distribute many Bibles and Portions in 2011. Although we did not finalise the Naro New Testament, thank God that we will launch it before the end of this year. Thank him, too, for the start of the Shekgalagari Bible translation project. In 2011 we elected a new board of directors and also replaced our Accounts Officer and Senior Office Assistant. Pray that they may settle in well.
Zimbabwe
Praise God for the successful launch of the Ndau Bible and for the recruitment of a new General Secretary. Pray for the ongoing translation of the Chikunda Old Testament and ask for funds for the Shona Study Bible. Pray that we will be able to effectively raise funds and recruit new members. Remember our country, asking for peace and economic recovery.
