The Bible Society would like to encourage people to read the Bible and allow them to have access to the Bible in the language of their choice. The printed Bible is not always at hand, but, since you’re already online, the Word of God is only a few mouse clicks away.

The various English Bible translations are freely available at www.biblegateway.com and our own site www.bybel.co.za was created a few years ago to allow people to read the Afrikaans Bible translations online.

And now, if you are a Xhosa or Zulu speaker, you can also read your Bible on the Internet. Have a look at www.bibles.co.za and read your Bible there. Tell your Xhosa and Zulu friends, colleagues and fellow Christians. Our Internet Bibles also have a search engine which makes looking for specific verses a great deal easier.

The Bible Society plans to make the Bible available on the Internet in all the indigenous languages of South Africa.

Read your Bible in a year.  Click here for the Bible reading plan.
